If you work in a company and want to advance in your career, it’s easy to become that employee who is available 24/7. In short, the “right” amount of work is the one that allows you to be financially stable while still having enough time for your personal needs. Of course, there will be moments when you’ll have to work for a bit longer, but don’t make those exceptions turn into a routine.
When it comes to working, it’s always better to work smarter than longer. So, make sure to get rid of all the potential distractions while working. Don’t take more breaks than you absolutely need, and don’t waste time checking your social media profiles or gossiping. For example, you can make phone calls and check your emails while your kids are taking a nap, so you don’t have to do that during your work hours. Create family traditions
To nurture your family bonds, it’s essential that you make time for your family no matter how much work you have. For example, you can have a family night with movies or board games every Friday. The goal is to create activities that fit into your schedule, so everybody knows what to expect and when.
